He worked as the workers right’s project manager for a number of years with San Francisco Pride at Work, which focused on local labor law education. He currently serves as Co-Director for Young Workers United and is the representative for the organization within the San Francisco Immigrant Rights Defense Committee and Jobs with Justice San Francisco.
Ilana Master, Co-Director
Co-Director. She grew up in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Macalester College with a BA in American Studies and Urban Studies. She has been involved in organizing since high school. She has done organizing for reproductive justice, union campaigns, retail workers, and education. She has been working in restaurants since the age of 18 and is excited to combine her interests in social justice and the service sector to help workers win!
Emilytricia Lopez Marchena, Retail Worker Education and Outreach Coordinator Coming from a poor-working class Latina family, all of whom are workers in the food and retail service industry and having worked retail herself for 8 years since the age of 16, she is excited to be in the fight for labor to help improve living and working conditions for everyone. She is originally from Riverside, Califas. In 2016 she became the first in her family to graduate from a University and received her B.A. in International Relations with a minor in Latina/o/x Studies and a minor in Women and Gender Studies from San Francisco State University. In the past few years she has done a variety of community and grassroots organizing from youth work, to fighting U.S. intervention in Latin America, to student organizing.
